Sonoma Myrickite in two rivers

Two rivers in one day! Sparkling green chert, yellow and red jaspers, agate seams, and if you are lucky you might be able to find some myrickite (agatized cinnabar)! This is a beginner level easy trip (1 out of 5 difficulty level). While we will look hard to find these rocks, there is no guarantee that we will find the more rare specimins so keep your eyes peeled! The location of our first stop will be in Cloverdale California, but the exact meeting spot will be given out in the confirmation email in the form of GPS coordinates so all you have to do is copy and paste them into google maps.

We'll meet at the first spot, hunt around for about an hour, then drive 25 minutes to a different river and rockhound there.
